Steel Bunded Fuel Tanks decay over time and can cause an environmental issue if a fault should occur.
Many Bunded Fuel tanks have Iron pipes that have been painted which over time rust along with the pump cabinet & in more serious cases the roof of the tank has rusted away to let rain water into the fuel.
We start by emptying the tank of all fuel before entering and cleaning,
all equipment is removed from the cabinet before the process of cleaning, treating and painting the tank before new pipework and electrics are installed. and the equipment refurbished and replaced.
lastly the fuel taken out is polished before pumped back into the tank.
Refurbishment of a tank can add years more service to it and limit the chances of an environmental issue.
